oh a guy on craigslist is selling backups for 5 dallors each and he says u have to have the original but im just gonna get my 360 flashed stealth patched so i wont have original only buy the 5 dallor game

U need to flash ur xbox 360 to play burned games or backups.
U can do it urself or u can pay for it for like $35

yes you have to mod it. u can either install a mod chip ( usualy more expensive) or u can flash your xbox 360s dvd drive. It also depends on what dvd drive u have, example: samsung, benq or lite on. Warning to all: even if u r just playing backup games you own u can still get banned from xbox live! Even if u dont have a burned disk in the drive. Remember its the hardware not the game that gets detected. its harded to get banned now though, just watch out for those xbox live updates lol.

i found the kreon drive and there r 2 versons…….do i use the SATA verson or the IDA verson? or does it not matter

That is dependent on what your computer can handle it does not effect ripping process. When you get the drive you will have to install it into your computer just like any other drive.

Why can’t we just connect the dvd drive in the xbox 360 to the PC using SATA cable and use it to copy games???
I already flashed my BenQ drive and so I’m wondering if this is possible.

is it possible to make an EXACT 1 to 1 copy of an xbox 360 game so that you could backup your BACKUP copy of your game, as if it is the original disc.
Why i say this is because i currently use Xbox backup creator and it says ‘this is not a true 1 to 1 copy of the game, and its not.
Is there any software or settings i should use? any help much appreciated.

i believe you left out a very important step. after you have dumped your 360 game and created the .dvd and .iso file open the .iso file in AGBX360 and make sure you stealth patch the game. now backing up a game you own technically is legal, but playing the game isnt and breaks Microsoft’s legal policy, now not to say im against making backups cuz i do it all the time just i want everyone to be safe from the banhammer.

Hold on does this means that i can’t read an xbox360 dvd with a normal dvd burner but i need a firmwared one?

There is another way that you could do it using a regular dvd drive but it is more complicated and involves having the dvd drive outside of the computer and the top of the drive open. A summary would be that you place a dvd into the drive and using a program make the drive stop and then you hotswap the dvd with a 360 dvd and continue to use the program to decrypt the dvd. this method isnt nearly as safe proof.

Good comment pnkrcker4062 but it isnt as necessary with reading a retail game because of the fact that the game already has a stealth patch on it where as pirated or illegal copies are to be run through abgx360 to see if the publisher put on the stealth patch.

can i burn the xbox games with the kreon drive as well as ripping them or do i have to have a seperate drive for this only asking because my computers disc drive is broken and im getting a new one soon and if i can just use this for both it would be very helpful
